I agree with what you're saying to a degree but to say it's considerably off is just wrong!

I think your skill level matters a lot here, the format your play in (like you'd need more for super turbos as opposed to deep stack games etc)how risk adverse you are is another factor as is having a move down plan. P

ersonally I think I'm fine playing in the right format with only 15 buyins but then I consider myself better than most in the mid stakes.

For most people I think the exact buyin amount is not too important as long as you have a solid move down plan and stick to it but anywhere above 25 buyins is ok as long as you move down when you say drop to 20. Of course if you dont like moving up and down stakes that much then by all means build a bigger roll in the first place, it really is personal preference.

That's more impotant than the amount of buyins you have (being able and happy to drop down a level when you fall below the minimum that you have set yourself for that game).

Your Bankroll advice for SNG's is considerably off unfortunately. 50 buy-in's is the MINIMUM someone should play with, and the number of buy-in's will go up as the entry fee increases do to increase variance that is associated with a lower ROI. ROI's in SNG consistently drop as the buy-in increases.

Yeah. This bankroll thing is what I have trouble with. I'm a good player, however luck seems to go against me at times. Last night, I lost 5 times in a row, having a full house, while they had quads. :)

Titan Poker releases the $150 in $50 increments. So if you keep playing there, you'll get the full $150.

Remember to stick to good bankroll management and only play $1 or $2 SNG's to gradually build your roll.
